THERMAL IMAGING

Thermal imaging identifies temperature distribution on the surface of a horse's body using an infrared thermal camera. Thermal imaging is commonly used for preventive maintenance purposes, to help diagnose inflammation or injury, to aid in appropriate hoof care, and to determine saddle fit.

It is a rare & useful tool for an equine owner in that it provides a view of the whole horse in a manner not often available using imaging modalities. Thermal imaging is non invasive, does not require sedation, and is an extremely cost effective method of whole horse imaging.

Most diagnostic tools focus on a specific area of the horse while a thermal imaging session in most cases will take images of each area of the horse's body so a comprehensive interpretation can be made. Thermal imaging paired with our other services allows us to see where the issues are coming from & treat appropriately ON SITE!

Thermal imaging is NOT a substitute for veterinary care, and we can NOT diagnose illness, disease, or any other physical disorder.
